Each person commenting to me indicated a different experience which was noted as personally powerful and significant. Kyle Childress's sermon, "Cellar voices"; Vicki's poem; Miki Lynn's song at lunch; Pauline Patterson's quilt; Jim Lemon's program and the art work; Beth Toler's discussion of theological perspectives and her revelation of the impact of her brother's abuse to name just a few. Other participants were touched by their interactions with other participants or leaders. Several mentioned the impact of the art, poetry, music and dance. Thus, it seems our choosing to immerse the participants in the subject was beneficial.
